We’re proud of the reputation that Jamieson’s Music Studio has gained throughout the years; a place where students and instructors alike can thrive and make the most of their talents. Each year we gladly welcome creative and passionate students from Antigonish and the surrounding area.
Since 2006, Jamieson’s Music Studio has been providing Antigonish with private music instruction. We understand how important it is for you to have fun playing and singing what you love, as well as successfully reading and writing music.
If you are interested in Classical, RCM, Jazz, Country, Rock or Pop, we have highly qualified instructors that teach what you want to learn and help you achieve your goals in the style that interests you most.

Meet the talented staff of Jamieson's Music Studio
Katie Jamieson
Owner
Katie was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and has been performing since the age of six. Beginning in 1991, Katie sang first with the NSO and NSYC and later with the Holy Heart of Mary Chamber Choir, a Newfoundland-based world champion choral group. She attended Memorial University of Newfoundland Opera School from 1998 to 2002 and graduated from the St. Francis Xavier University Jazz Program in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music. Katie is the owner of Jamieson’s Music Studio in Antigonish and along with other instructors, teaches a private studio of 80+ students. Although she has been in such musicals as Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors and Rent, she has also directed a handful of Musical Theatre productions as well!
Adrienne Munroe
Voice Teacher
Adrienne is a 4th year Bachelor of Music Honours student in the StFX University Jazz Program. She studied with Katie Jamieson from the ages of 7-18 and will be going into her 3rd year of teaching at Jamieson’s Music Studio. She was a competitor in the New Glasgow Music Festival for 8 years, and went on to compete in competitions at a provincial level. She is also an active member of the local theatre community, and has performed in several Music of The Night shows since 2014. She has also performed in several Festival Antigonish shows under both The Young Company and The One Act Play Festival. She is looking forward to another great year of music at the studio!
Paulina Hernandez
Piano Teacher
Paulina is a Jazz pianist with a classical background. She is currently completing her bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies at StFX University. Born in Coahuila, Mexico, she began taking private piano lessons at the age of 8. Shortly after she was accepted to ESMDM, a classical music conservatory in Monterrey, Mexico where she studied for 4 years. Looking to further her studies she moved to Charlottetown, PEI to complete a Piano Performance College degree at Holland College. Paulina has been exposed to many musical cultures. She has experience playing a wide variety of genres like Classical, Pop, R&B, Folk, and Jazz, sharing stages with musicians from all around the world. Paulina began her journey as a piano instructor 3 years ago, and is looking forward to teaching at Jamieson’s Music Studio!
Robyn Feltham
Guitar Teacher
Robyn is a musician from Glovertown, Newfoundland, currently completing his Bachelor of Music degree at StFX. He started playing guitar at the age of 5 and began learning piano, accordion, and mandolin shortly thereafter. From 2016-18, he studied classical guitar with Fernando Abraham Vargas Hernandez, before switching to jazz in preparation for his StFX audition. He currently enjoys listening to and playing a wide variety of music; from Emily Remler and Fergus O'Byrne to Jacob Collier and Doja Cat. He also enjoys creating and recording music, and is open to students who wish to learn any style of guitar!
